Fear is debilitating because it delays decision-making, which impedes productivity. One of the characteristics of successful people is their ability to decide quickly and move forward. That’s not the same as making a “snap judgment,” which is often uninformed. Rather, it is a process of accessing pertinent information and arriving at a conclusion. Fear stops decisionmaking and can be the root cause of failing to have clarity in business and life. It’s easy to attribute fear to a lack of knowledge, because what is ignorance other than a failure to ask questions? In life as on Jeopardy, we need to ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS. When you let go of looking for the right answers, and focus instead on finding the right questions, you can overcome that fear and get back on the path to success.
